Calvin O’Commor presents Taller on Trancespired Recordings
For our 48th release we welcome someone very well known in the scene and highly respected. Calvin O’Commor makes his Trancespired debut with “Taller” and as you would rightly expect, this track is mustard!
From the off, Calvin grabs your attention with some rolling bass and thumping kicks, then builds on it with some lovely, gentle melodic elements which truly shine when the bassline chords are introduced. Moving onto the break – nothing short of magnificent, with the melody evolving and progressing thoughout. The lead melody enters, setting the anticipation nicely and when the drop comes in it is full blown adrenaline. Take a listen and I’m sure you will agree this is wholly deserving of your support.
As if that wasn’t enough we welcome back Johnny E for the remix! Johnny takes Calivin’s uplifter and lends it a tougher, techier edge. Some nice FX in the intro as well as that original intro melody. The energy levels continue to build right up to the break where Johnny lays down some emotional padwork. A breakbeat is introduced along with the evolving melody, dropiing eventually for the lead to build things nicely to the drop which, again, is blended to perfection.
A fantastic release with two stunning versions, picking a favourite will not be easy!
