Big moment for Trancespired Recordings as we reach our 50th release and do we have a special release to mark the occasion!
Christopher Corrigan takes the honours and also brings his alter ego PLA4 along for the appropriately named, “Dual Identities EP”
The first track, “Beholden” is under Chris’s real moniker and it is an absolute peach. A strong, uplifting masterpiece with a fabulous driving bassline, thumping kicks, acidic undertones, soaring leads and atmosphere aplenty. The break is just gorgeous with the sumptious pads melting like butter. The sparkling, swirling melody takes things further and the drop takes every last ounce of energy. Utterly fantastic track I am sure you will agree.
Track 2, “Coumarin” is a bonafide slammer and a real dancefloor damager! Chris’s alter-ego, PLA4 ratches up the ferocity with this tech monster. Thumping kicks and enticing percussion draws you in straight away and keeps your attention right up to a contrasting light and beautiful breakdown filled with soaring pads and a lovely, light, plinking melody. A second melody pushes you further into the break where the build begins, filling your anticipation meter to the maximum. The drop is, what can we say, other than Oooooooft! Seriously heavy and perfect for those floors with a harder edge.
So, whether you like your trance uplifting or hard, or perhaps like us even like both then you will love this release. Perfect way to celebrate our 50th.
