Both longtime fans of each other’s work, the hard dance pioneer and Dutch DJ and producer finally ended up in a studio together and came out bearing a ground-breaking, amped-up single destined to set the scene on fire: ‘Louder’ (feat. Noubya).
Exactly the high-energy anthem you’d expect from a British-Dutch link-up of this magnitude, ‘Louder’ effectively blends both artists’ perspectives of the harder music styles. Helmed by throbbing bass, a strong message and the entrancing vocals of Dutch singer-songwriter Noubya, this long-anticipated record pulsates with so much energy it will speak to their fans in volumes.
“Mark sent me over the idea for the track and once I heard the vocal, I was hooked; I knew I had to jump on board”, Darren Styles says. “It was great to work with Mark as I’m a big fan, and I’m excited to hear what people think.”
“I was having fun in the studio with an incredible, high-BPM vocal, and I knew I couldn’t build a proper trance track around it”, Mark Sixma explains. “So I experimented a bit, ended up with something hard-dance-like and asked myself who could bring this record to life. I instantly thought of Darren Styles because I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time, and I’m super happy he wanted to work with me on ‘Louder’.”
Darren Styles is a U.K.-based DJ and producer who has conquered the harder styles of electronic dance music on a global scale with his electrifying live performances and hard-hitting tracks. He has frequented the Top 20 of the UK Singles chart over the years, has been a yearly staple on the Basscon stage at EDC Las Vegas since 2013 and recently debuted at some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Defqon1 and Creamfields. Born and raised the Dutch city that bred Tiesto and Hardwell (Breda), Mark Sixma rather unsurprisingly caught the dance music bug growing up. Shortly after mastering the art of DJing as a teenager and starting to produce his own tracks, he was recognized by Armin van Buuren; his track ‘Destination 6’ got played on A State Of Trance and subsequently gained support from some of the biggest names in the industry. Having been an integral part of Armada Music’s artist roster for over a decade, Mark Sixma frequently hooks the global dance music scene with his in-demand production aesthetic and performs at world-renowned events such as TomorrowWorld, Creamfields, A State Of Trance and Ultra Music Festival to wow fans of various genres with his broad-appeal sound.
