Johnny E presents Brute Force EP on Trancespired Recordings
Gifted American producer, Johnny E, makes his third outing on Trancespired Recordings and delivers to us the “Brute Force EP” with three tracks of increasing ferociousness.
First up we have “Trance Nation” which kicks-off the EP in fine fashion with a tough classic trance feel about it. Engaging acidic hooks and thumping bass draw you in and the intro melody entices you further onto the break which is just sublime. Emotional strings are met by a wonderous evolving melody which really goes off when the drop hits.
Moving onto track 2, “Acid Lullaby”, John takes the energy and drive to the next level and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out this is an acid-fest. However, there is also trademark John melodies in there too. The infectious intro gives way to a really stunning emotional breakdown with an incredible sorrowful melody – words cannot do it justice, let your ears and mind be the judge. A powerful drop follows an intense build at the end of the break and further on still John changes it up to triplet structure to add a welcome twist.
The final track “Blackened” is the toughest of the three with a distinct tech-trance feel and again, plenty of acid on show. This one is a real head down, feet on the floor grinder and a perfect way to complete the EP.
So, if you like your trance to have edge and love acid, look no further.
