Matt Lange shares his Isn’t It Lovely EP on Anjunabeats
Following his return to Anjunabeats last month with “Every Word” (featuring the vocals of long-term collaborator Kerry Leva), long-term label contributor Matt Lange brings a new three-tracker to the label, entitled Isn’t It Lovely.
Bookending the EP around “Every Word” is the piano-led title-track “Isn’t It Lovely” – first heard as the tranquil opener on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 14 compilation released earlier this year. Completing the EP with new composition “Push,” a sophisticated dive from the Grammy-nominated producer into his typically dark & progressive palate.
Matt explains his creative process around the EP – “While ‘Isn’t It Lovely’ was of course inspired by my remix of Above & Beyond’s, ‘Is It Love?, ‘Push’ and ‘Every Word’ were inspired by sitting down with a piano, Juno 106 and a Moog and simply playing what felt natural. I feel the melodic nature of this EP expresses this just as I intended”.
