Mikey Dickens makes his debut on Trancespired Recordings and brings the wonderful “Dark Matter EP”.
The title track, Dark Matter, is fierce, driving tech. A punchy rolling bass, awesome fills, FX and enticing melody carry things nicely towards the break. The break is superb, with piano’s ushering the calm before the storm of the powerful lead melody. The drop is mustard too with the high intensity energy levels weighted perfectly. The second break is equally superb though this time blends a fantastic acid line which ramps up those energy levels in the second drop. Powerful stuff indeed!
The second track on this fantastic EP, The Platform, keeps those energy levels at max with thumping kicks, an acidic bassline, psy fx and captivating melodies pushing you to the wonderfully uplifting break.
