15 Years of Grotesque events! The best concept of PT Events will experience its absolute highlight on Saturday 28th of December. The ‘Grand Final’ will be more spectacular than ever for several reasons and will also be the last for Grotesque founder Patrick Pijnenburg.
This wonderful event, which originated 15 years ago with a collaboration between Patrick Pijnenburg and Ram Boon, turned out to be a real hit. An event that almost immediately ensured full venues. Commuting between Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam, the popularity of which soon made the last city the ideal home base, due to the capacity and possibilities in the Maassilo. The Indoor Festival was truly unique in the (indoor) scene in all its versatility and was voted “best indoor festival” in the Netherlands twice in a row.
Now, some 15 years later, the last edition will take place under the leadership of Patrick, who has been pulling the cart alone for a number of years. The tension about whether or not to achieve his high quality standards has left its mark physically and so it is time for Patrick to hand over the baton to a new generation that wants to go for it again. “I have always done Grotesque with great pleasure, but especially in recent years it has become increasingly difficult for me to make concessions. “To be honest, I really did myself a disservice,” said a now relaxed Patrick.
Patrick’s last Grotesque will be a blast !
Nevertheless, for this last edition he will pull out all tricks to hand over the event in a flourishing way. For his last edition it was decided to change course once again and provide the main stage with a number of super exclusive acts. Patrick: “With Ve/Ra, The Rocketmen, Kim Chaos and even a Dutch debut for the British successful duo The Stickmen Project we can really be proud of the acts we have been able to attract. Of course, the event will again be provided with original party entertainment.”
The Trance acts will therefore go to the second room. In order not to disappoint the audience that does like to hear Trance, we have not programmed differently there than we would have done on the main stage. With Mark Sherry, Richard Durand, Artento Divini, Adam Seller, SOK & Roimer and Fonk-A-Deliq, an insane programme is ready for the trance lovers. The third room will be filled with a large number of emerging talents who will bring a diverse sound. In short; There is something fun for everyone to find.
The Stickmen Project
This duo is the embodiment of creativity and energy and are known for their unique combination of percussion, live drumming and electronic beats. Their performances are not only an enjoyable musical experience but also a stunning visual spectacle, with LED drums and stunning visuals stealing the show.
The Rocketman
A true showman known for his spectacular performances. With his futuristic and exciting acts, The Rocketman takes entertainment to an outerspace level. His performance is an adrenaline rush that perfectly matches the energy of Grotesque.
Ve/Ra
As a rising star in the techno scene, Ve/Ra has made her mark with powerful, profound sets. With her unique sound, which finds a balance between hard kicks and atmospheric melodies, worldwide success lies at the feet of this quintessential Dutch party crasher! Known from Awakenings and Free Your Mind, among others.
Kim Kaos
As an established name in the dance scene, Kim Kaos brings a unique mix of house and techno to the mainstage of the Grotesque Indoor Festival. Thanks to years of experience, she knows exactly how to play her audience.
Hel:sløwed
Melodic Techno, perhaps the most popular current within the walls of electronic dance music at the moment. Hel:sløwed has gained international recognition in a short time due to catchy melodies, strong build-ups and powerful drops, which sets them apart in the contemporary Melodic Techno scene.
Marvii
Another Dutch young lady who is now known for her versatility. She switches effortlessly between house, techno and trance. Her energetic sets and feeling for the right vibe make her the perfect warm-up in this spectacular line-up.
