Various Artists presents Bonzai All Stars – No Time To Waste – Remixes on Bonzai Classics

Christian Pieters and Laurent Veronnez’s floor pounding No Time To Waste is back with a fresh set of mixes including a brand-new Vocal Mix and a remix from Bonzai legend, Jan Vervloet. With almost 50 years’ experience in the dance music arena as DJ’s, producers, remixers, label bosses and all manner of things related, it came as no surprise that Christian and Laurent would get into the studio together. When they get up on stage, their sets have been hailed as dynamic, energetic and crowd-pleasing, just the tonic to rip up the floor. You can be assured that there is more to come, bigger and bolder.

Fresh off the back of his last effort on Bonzai Classics, Super Dry alongside DJ Ghost, the legend that is Jan Vervloet is up on the remix for No Time To Waste, delivering a rip-roaring re-work of the original, and doing it in proper Jan style. A very much well-known name on the Belgian music scene, he has released more than 150 tracks worldwide including a gold record with Fiocco in Belgium and a number 1 hit in Holland with Scoop. He has been a part of so many groups and with lots of his own productions he has appeared on countless compilation albums and has featured on most of Bonzai’s own compiled series. One of his most celebrated releases was Bonzai Channel One, alongside Karim Boux on their Thunderball project. As a DJ he has been a part of the most selected clubs and parties in the Benelux. Over 30 years in the business, Jan’s story is epic, and we’re always delighted to have him with us at Bonzai. Here, he really ramps up the pressure with a furiously paced groove filled with monster kicks and retro style stabs. A much more melodic affair, the vibe is centred on musical percussions and superbly crafted FX. Tension rises as the buzzing main hook is accompanied by a frantic build up before climaxing to those thumping kicks and the altered melody. Top-notch from the master, not to be missed.

The Vocal Mix takes its que from the original, retaining that solid, driving, pounding beat and those in-your-face buzzing synth stabs. Deep vox offer that true Belgian Techno nostalgia as hooverish melodies wash over the groove. The infectious main hook raises the energy levels, contributing to swelling climaxes as the simple yet effective ‘no time to waste’ vocal adds that little bit of narrative. In these uncertain times, there really is no time to waste, so let this track fill you with excitement and downright stomping pleasure.
